62 calls to DPS over Mother’s Day weekend

This past weekend the CNMI Department of Public Safety responded to 62 calls on Saipan and made eight arrests.

From 11pm on Friday, May 10, through 11pm on Sunday, May 12—a 48-hour period—DPS responded to 911 calls and were dispatched to 62 different calls that included assault and battery, auto-related incident, burglary, disturbing the peace, driving under the influence, injured person, reckless driving, and theft. 

DPS would like to remind the public not to hesitate when calling 911. Dispatchers and officers are standing by to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the public. (PR)
