CABRERA WINS FEBRUARY ACE
TIL Cabrera shot identical net scores of 68 in a two day Amigos Ace competition to win Ace for the month of February. Cabrera shot a round of 87 gross (45 front and 42 back, gross 87, net 68) at Mariana Country Club and an identical round of 45 42, gross 87, net 68, at Laolao Bay East Course to walk away with the win. Cabrera is the second to qualify for the Ace of Aces tournament at year end. Cabrera was December Ace for 1998.
Ben Lizama shot a two day net 143 (68 75) to claim second place, trailing Cabrera by 7 strokes. PJ Igitol, who tied Lizama, lost on a tie breaker on Hole No 17; however, he was not eligible as he had earlier qualified for the year end tournament. Manny Tenorio shot a two day net of 146 to take third place.
Other winners include: Til Cabrera (front low net); Manny Tenorio (back low net); Joe Lizama (low gross); and Karl Reyes (low net for the day).
