Drowning incident

A one-year old baby nearly drowned when found floating on Micro Beach last Sunday evening, police said.

According to Rose Ada, public information officer of the Department of Public Safety, the father tried to revive the baby before the ambulance arrived.

Investigation showed that family was at Micro Beach attending a tournament. The father called to get his son who was out there on the beach when he saw his baby nearby already floating in the water.

Ada said the baby is now confined at the ICU of the Commonwealth Health Center.
