This Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, at 8:00 a.m., Tanapag Elementary School will host its Third Annual Halloween Fun Run/Walk. The Fun Run/Walk will begin at Cowtown turnoff in Marpi and lead the participants through a winding trail in the woods. There will be both a 1-mile and a 5-kilometer competition.

In the one mile event, participants are encouraged to come in costume. There will be prizes for best, scariest and funniest costumes. The trail itself leads the participants off into the jungle on a course decorated with tombstones, snakes, bats, ghosts and all kinds of monsters. This will be a very fun event for children and adults alike.

The 5K race will also start at the Cowtown Turnoff in Marpi but will lead the runners off to Banzai Cliff before returning to the same course as the One Mile participants on the decorated trail.

Registration will begin at 7:00 a.m.
