Not fair
I am amused to read that it is okay for the federal U. S. Ombudsman to hire resident alien despite the alleged allegations that the recently hired employee had been convicted of violating local labor laws. Am I missing something? Does this mean that it is okay for the U. S. Ombudsman’s office to engage or employ the services of anyone including those law violators while at the same time require the CNMI Government and/or its people to follow a stringent and/or different standard where it concerns labor and immigration abuses?
Hooray to Speaker Benigno Fitial. I sincerely hope that the U. S. Inspector General investigates the hiring practices of such office in the Northern Marianas.
