Children's Christmas Parade tomorrow

The Children’s Christmas Parade, an annual event sponsored by the Marianas Visitors Authority, will be held tomorrow, Dec. 21, 2000, starting from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The parade of children and floats will start in Garapan from the basketball court in front of the Carolinian Utt and will head north toward the American Memorial Park.

This year’s theme will focus on exemplifying the island’s Christmas spirit. There will be singing, costume and float competition. The public is encouraged to attend this annual event.

Points will be awarded for best costume, best singing and best exemplification of holiday spirit.

All public and private schools students from Kindergarten to 6th grade are encouraged to participate in the event.

The public is advised that the Department of Public Safety will control traffic in this area so drivers are requested to practice caution when traveling through this area.
