Victim survives murder attempt
The suspect to an attempted murder incident that occurred Tuesday night in the Chalan Kanoa residential area is still at large, police said yesterday.
Authorities are currently probing for leads in this criminal puzzle that left one man injured due to gunshot wounds he sustained in the neck area.
The murder attempt was reportedly staged at around 8pm near Taro Sue in CK after witnesses told police they heard gunshots around the area.
When dispatched police officers arrived at the scene, they came across a white sedan that appeared to have veered off a small roadway, encroaching on a residential fence line.
It was noted that a man was inside the stationary vehicle, positioned at the driver’s seat and unconscious, police records said.
The man, later identified as a 28-year-old from lower Dandan, apparently had gunshot wounds on the neck and that blood was streaming from the injured area.
The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. He was admitted and placed under observation though his status is still unknown as of press time.
Police have qualified the case as attempted murder and assault with a dangerous weapon.
The responsible party has yet to be arrested, pending investigation. (MM)
