DPS holds Friday checkpoints

The Department of Public Safety’s Traffic Section will be conducting Occupant Protection and Child Restraint checkpoints on Friday, May 28.

The first setup will be on Beach Road Susupe by the Ada Gymnasium. This operation will commence at approximately 9am and will be terminated at approximately 10:15am.

The second setup will be on Beach Road Garapan by Bank Pacific. This operation will commence at approximately 4pm and will be terminated at approximately 5:15pm.

Each checkpoint conducted will last at least 75 minutes (1 hour 15 minutes) at each location.

This activity is part of the Department of Public Safety’s efforts to deter and detect and ensure that all vehicle occupants are protected.

In addition, traffic officers will be conducting highway criminal interdictions, saturation patrols, aggressive driver interdictions, and laser activities.
