A capella group DYNMX to hold concert
It’s going to to be a night of music and memories as the 11-member a capella group DYNMX prepares to hold their “Echo of Time” concert this Saturday at the Marianas High School’s new cafeteria in Susupe.
DYNMX’s Brent Espineda said the concert will begin at 6:30pm that night, and, in addition to a carefully curated set of a capella music, there will also be special performances by singers from Marianas Got Talent Season 1, MHS’ Rhythm n’ Harmony, and dance group Profound Bandits.
Espineda shared that the concert, as the name implies, is intended to give the audience a taste of the past.
“… it’s inspired by our past experiences for all of our members. …All of us are GLEE alumni, MHS GLEE Club alumni. So we decided last year in August that we wanted to get together to perform one last time at Tumon Bay Music Festival,” he said.
The concert will raise funds that will go toward their goal to represent and compete in the Tumon Bay Music Festival in Guam on March 7.
“Of course …we need money, so we decided to create this fundraiser concert. And not only to raise money but also to get that thrill of performing again, because all of us have been busy with many things in life, with our careers…and college,” he added. “So we wanted to create this concert more for nostalgia…and it is meant to bring nostalgia to parents, children and teenagers who are now grown up and community members that supported us since we were part of MHS GLEE.”
Espineda is inviting all music lovers and community members alike to attend the concert as they look back at the birthplace of their passion for a capella and where they started their friendships.
Tickets are currently on sale for $5 per student and $10 per adult, and can be bought online at https://forms.gle/Sm86c1Ep8Qg7NkDu5. There will also be tickets sold at the door on the day of the event.

A capella group DYNMX performs during Bridge Capital’s 13 Annual CNMI Got Talent at the Kensington Hotel Saipan in San Roque last December.
