Arts Council, MVA bring back Thursday Night Street Market

The Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture in collaboration with the Marianas Visitors Authority is re-activating the Thursday Night Street Market on Aug. 29, 2024, from 6pm to 9pm at the Paseo de Marianas in Garapan.

Fees are $50 for demonstrating artists and $200 (plus $100 non-refundable security deposit) for food vendors.

There are six food vendor slots and eight arts and crafts slots available for the Thursday Night Street Market.

Applications are available for pick up at the Commonwealth Council for Arts & Culture office located in Garapan, behind Carolinian Affairs Office starting Aug. 22, 2024 and will be due no later than Aug. 28, 2024 at 4pm.

The Thursday Night Street Market is free to the public and celebrates the rich art and cultural heritage of the Commonwealth. The Thursday Night Street Market puts arts at its finest by featuring a wide selection of artworks from CNMI registered and non-registered artists, traditional or contemporary, using different mediums and offering varied price ranges to suit anyone’s taste and budget.

The event also showcases marvelous presentations from local and guests performing groups and musicians, art demonstrations, and an array of delightful food favorites for an enjoyable evening with family and friends.
