BDE only undefeated team in women’s division
Team BDE is bringing that explosive energy in the 2024 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball Association women’s division as they are the only undefeated team left.
They collected their fourth win in as many games against the Boleras, 12-3, last Sunday at the Dandan Softball Field.
Despite a 1-2-3 first inning, BDE kept their calm and scored a run in the second. They went down in order again in the third, but picked themselves up again with two runs. Boleras had yet to score, but Maria Quitugua finally put them on the board when she scored in the fourth inning for a 3-1 BDE lead.
The floodgates then opened for BDE as they attacked Boleras pitcher C.J. Lizama with multiple runs in the fifth inning. Seven runs scored to put them up, 10-1. Boleras still had a chance to catch up, but they failed to score in the fifth and came up with only two in the sixth.
BDE scored two more runs in the sixth to make it 12-3, which became the final score as the Boleras failed to produce in their last at-bat. Lynnae Cabrera, Allana Sumang, and Iggy Teliu scored two runs each for BDE.
Earlier, the 670 Magas Babes owned the Lady Blue Jays, 12-3.
The Lady Blue Jays scored their three runs in the fifth inning, while they failed to connect for the rest of the game. Carey Demapan, Kianu Aldan, and Alannah Sablan scored their three runs.
Meanwhile, the Babes scored two in the second, then seven in the second inning. They added two more in the fifth and one in the sixth. Catalina Dela Cruz and Erlina Naputi collected three hits and runs each for the Babes.
In the game between Lady Sufa and Bat & Boujee, Lady Sufa won, 10-7.
Lady Sufa had a big lead after a five run first inning, while Bat & Boujee scored just one run. They went on to tack on five more runs before Bat & Boujee could add more.
Bat & Boujee then went scoreless for the next three innings until they tried to rally in the fifth inning with six big runs. However, they came up short by three runs as they fell in order in the last inning.

BDE lead batter Lynnae Cabrera swings at a pitch in their game against Boleras in the 2024 Budweiser Belau Amateur Softball Association women’s division last Sunday at the Dandan Softball Field.
