Chamber Business Person of the Year Gala this Saturday

The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is preparing for its annual signature event, the Annual Business Person of Year Gala, which is a fundraising event to assist the Chamber in pushing and accomplishing their mission, vision, and goals for its members and the business community.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024 at the Kensington Hall in the Kensington Hotel Saipan. The event, themed “Hafa Adai yan Tirow” serves as a dual celebration—commemorating business excellence in the CNMI and marking a significant moment for inducting both newly elected and returning members to the SCC’s board of directors.

Encouraging a celebration of our island’s distinct style, the Chamber urges attendees to attire themselves in island formal wear, infusing a local essence into the event. The evening promises a blend of elegance and significance as the Chamber recognizes contribution from and to our local business community.

The upcoming gala will showcase accolades in various categories, such as the 2023 Chamber Member of the Year, 2023 Non-profit of the Year, 2023 Small Business of the Year, and the recently added 2023 Sustainable Business of the Year, in partnership with the Mariana Islands Nature Alliance, an esteemed member of the Chamber. The recipients in each category are expected to have exhibited outstanding commitment, innovation, and community influence throughout the year.

The focal point and customary element of the event will be the presentation of the 2023 Business Person of the Year award, bestowed upon an individual who has displayed outstanding leadership and impact within the community and beyond.
