DPS on hunt for man wanted for attempted robbery
The Department of Public Safety is on the hunt for a man who attempted to rob Dollar Poker Room in Garapan early last Monday morning.
DPS is in need of the community’s help in identifying a man accused of attempting to rob Dollar Poker Room in Garapan early last Monday morning.
“If you have any information regarding the incident, please call DPS-Criminal Investigation Bureau at (670) 664-9000/1 or Crime Stoppers at (670) 234-7272 for any tip,” said DPS spokesperson Sgt. Fred Sato.
According to DPS, at approximately 12:56am on April 29, police dispatch received a call regarding an attempted robbery at the Dollar Poker Room in Garapan.
DPS states that when officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with the female cashier who stated that an unknown male individual had approached the booth from the rear of the establishment.
The suspect was allegedly holding a knife and demanded money while pointing his weapon at the cashier.
The cashier said she immediately activated the establishment’s panic alarm, causing the suspect to flee the area.
“The male suspect was described as wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, slippers, and a face mask. He also had long hair, which appeared to be a wig,” DPS states.
