Early bird deadline on Aug. 10 for HANMI golf tourney

Saturday, Aug. 10, is the last day for local players to get the best registration rates for the 22nd Annual HANMI Charity Classic Golf Tournament on Aug. 24, 2024.

“Don’t miss it! Our special local rate is only $110 through Saturday, so make you register by then!” said tournament committee chair Das Krishnan. “For our off-island guests, it’s still a steal at $180 for a great day of golf on the professionally-designed Coral Ocean Resort course, followed by an amazing awards dinner banquet at Crowne Plaza Resort with a generous open bar while supplies last. It’s always a great tournament with HANMI!”

Hole-in-one prizes for the tournament include a 2024 Nissan Sentra from Joeten Motors, a 2024 Toyota Tacoma from Atkins Kroll Saipan, $10,000 cash from Pacifica Insurance, and $5,000 cash from Island Training Solutions.

Registration includes green fees and the awards dinner. For residents, the tournament early bird rate is $110 through Saturday, and the fee increases to $130 after Aug. 10. Optional play is $30 and includes Accurate Drive (hole No. 9) and four chances for Nearest to the Pin (holes No. 3, 7, 13, and 17). Showtime is 6am, and the tournament will start at 7am.

This year’s awards banquet will be held at the Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan Ataari cultural dinner show. Additional guests will be $30 for the banquet.

The tournament is open to the first 144 paid registrants. The tournament follows a blackjack double Peoria format.
