GMS Pure Love Daycare 1 and 2 bag Star Level 2 award
Last July 5 marked another GMS Pure Love Daycare 1 and 2 milestone. It was the most anticipated moment of all—the awarding of Star Level per child care center. Star levels are awarded to childcare centers that follow the guidelines for quality standards or QRIS. Quality Rating and Improvement System is a systemic approach to assess, improve, and communicate the level of quality in early and school-age care. This ensures that quality care is given to every child in each daycare facility.
Erlaine Evangelista of Evergreen Learning facilitated the debriefing session at the MSV Building in Chalan Kanoa. The session lasted for almost two hours, during which Evangelista did a rundown of all the progress and achievements of Pure Love Daycare’s respective programs for ITERS, ECERS, and SACERS. Both PLDs 1 and 2 bagged the Star 2 award. Star Level 2 signifies that PLD 1 and 2 are on par when rendering childcare services.
Everybody was delighted and thankful for the results of the QRIS baseline, as all their sweat and hard work was finally validated. PLD director Milagros S. Songcuan was all teary-eyed and speechless as she congratulated everybody. She said she was so grateful to all of the PLD staff for their hard work and dedication in providing the best quality childcare service for their students and parents.
The attendees of the said event were PLD 1 and 2 staff, PLD director Milagros S. Songcuan, CCDF Program administrator Maribel Loste, and former CCDF secretary Maggie Sablan. (PR)
