House OKs report to re-appropriate $503.9K for Obyan Road repair
The House of Representatives has adopted the Ways and Means Committee’s report that recommends transmitting to the Saipan and Northern Islands Legislative Delegation a local bill that would re-appropriate $503,900 for the reconstruction and repair of Obyan Road.
House Local Bill 23-25 aims to re-appropriate $204,500 allotted under Saipan Local Law 20-26; $190,000 allotted under Saipan Local Law 20-26; and $109,400 allotted under Saipan Local Law 21-07.
A Ways and Means Committee report states that Finance Secretary Tracy N. Norita has certified that that those funds are available for appropriation.
Rep. Roman C. Benavente (Ind-Saipan) introduced the local bill last Aug. 18 and it was subsequently referred to the Ways and Means Committee.
Under the bill, the Department of Public Works secretary shall be the expenditure authority for the $503,900.
