Hyatt starts online auction to care for CNMI dogs and cats

After Hyatt Regency Saipan donated linen and terry to Saipan Humane Society worth $4,000 in 2023, the hotel continuously supports small businesses and non-profit organizations.

Partnering with Saipan Humane Society, the resort is spearheading an online auction to support the only animal health clinic in the CNMI. The auction was inaugurated during the Tropical Christmas Tree ceremony and remains open to all CNMI & Guam residents, as well as all who would like to donate.

To encourage the collection of much needed funds, Hyatt Regency Saipan is sponsoring accommodations for two specialty suites.

The auctioneer with the highest donation will receive a one-night stay at the prestigious 160-square-meter rooftop Presidential Suite with breathtaking views over Saipan and the ocean. Included in the price is the breakfast buffet at Kili Café & Terrace for two adults, valued at $1,700.

The starting bid is US$ 500.

The second highest bidder will enjoy a return of a one-night stay at one of the hotel’s 80-square-meter Executive Suites, equally with breakfast buffet at Kili Café & Terrace for two adults, worth $600.

The starting bid for the Executive Suite with breakfast for two is $250.

Bids are welcome via e-mail to SPNRS-Marketing.Communications@hyatt.com. Open to World of Hyatt members and non-members. State name, contact information, World of Hyatt membership number. The online auction is accepting bids until Feb. 15, 2024.

Winners will be contacted and announced on Hyatt Regency Saipan social media platforms at the end of February 2024.

Saipan Humane Society attends to 40-50 dogs and cats daily for medical needs on an island with 21,000 dogs and it is a challenge, without any other resources or veterinarians. They rely on financial support through grants, fundraising events, and donations. The proceeds of this auction will allow them to continue to offer medical support, rescue, rehabilitate and find homes for island dogs and cats. (Hyatt)
