Inaugural 40+ ‘OG’ hoops league meeting this Saturday
The Inaugural 40+ “OG” Basketball League 2023 is having a meeting this Saturday, Nov. 11, 9am at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium conference room.
This meeting is to discuss the league rules and regulations for the tournament that is set for Monday, Dec. 4. The games will be played under FIBA rules and regulations.
Entrance fee per team is $800 and is on a first- come, first-serve basis. The maximum number of teams is eight with a total of 18 players, but only 15 active players, and three coaching staff each. Players must be 40 years or over prior to the start of the league.
The final meeting and deadline to submit all forms/payment is on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 5pm, at the same conference room.
All weekday games start at 5:30pm for the first game and 7pm for the second game. Weekend games start at 2:30pm for the first game, 4pm for the second game, and 5:30pm for the third game.
Games are scheduled for Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.
There will be a total of 39 games played in the tourney.
The playoffs are set to start on Jan. 18, with the finals set for Feb. 3.
