JRM presents Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Quality of Life Program

The Joint Region Marianas team from Guam recently presented their innovative Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Quality of Life program at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center.

The event, coordinated by the Marianas Visitors Authority, Saipan Chamber of Commerce, Commonwealth Bureau of Military Affairs, and the CNMI Small Business Development Center, provided a platform for local businesses to explore partnership opportunities with JRM to offer products and services to military personnel stationed in Guam.

In an effort to further enrich the program, JRM is actively seeking to expand partnership opportunities to extend its offerings to visiting military personnel interested in exploring Saipan. This strategic expansion aims to enhance the experience of military members and their families, both in Guam and during visits to Saipan, through collaborations with local businesses.

The presentation highlighted the collaborative efforts between JRM and local businesses, emphasizing the positive impact on the well-being of service members and their families. The MWR Quality of Life program serves as a bridge for businesses to connect with military personnel, fostering a mutually beneficial relationship.

Attendees were also extended an invitation to the upcoming 2024 Quality of Life Expo scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at the University of Guam Calvo Field House in Mangilao, Guam. This expo is dedicated to cultivating new partnerships, strengthening community relations, and enhancing the lives of service members and their families on the island.

Businesses are encouraged to participate and showcase offerings related to staycations, outdoor adventures, dining experiences, essential resources, and cultural immersion. The expo provides an opportunity for businesses to shine and reach both local and military communities.
