MVA general membership meeting on Nov. 30
The Marianas Visitors Authority will hold its biannual general membership meeting on Nov. 30, 2023, at Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan at 10am. Registration will open at 9:30am.
Guest speakers will be from the MVA’s off-shore offices: MVA Korea in-country manager Sejin Kim and MVA Japan in-country manager Takashi Ichikura.
“We encourage our members, community leaders, and interested members of the public to attend our general membership meeting on Nov. 30 for a detailed update on the market conditions of our two major source markets—Korea and Japan—as well as information on ongoing and upcoming marketing and promotions, our signature events, and other programs of the MVA,” said MVA managing director Christopher A. Concepcion. “The Marianas continues to face some very challenging conditions that have hampered our full recovery since the pandemic. This meeting will give attendees the opportunity to better understand where we are as a destination and where we are headed.”
The meeting cost is $35 per person for MVA members and $40 per person for non-members and include lunch and light refreshments. Payments may be made at the MVA office located at 3366 Beach Road, Suite 101, I Liyan, Saipan, or at the door. Seating is available on a first-come, first- serve basis.
The MVA welcomes businesses, organizations, and individuals to its membership. Accounts can be registered and paid on MVA’s English website at www.mymarianas.com, or you may visit the MVA office. Benefits of membership include: business listing on the MVA’s language-specific websites in Korean, Japanese, and English; opportunities to participate in travel and trade shows, sales seminars, and FAM tours; opportunities for business brochure distribution at MVA offices in The Marianas and internationally; detailed visitor data through monthly statistics reports; nomination and voting rights for the MVA board of directors; the opportunity to be a supplier or contractor for the MVA; and the opportunity to serve on ad hoc committees.
