Manibusan is October winner

Attorney General Edward Manibusan topped the Saipan Golfers Association October Ace of the Month Tournament last Oct. 27 at the LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort.

Manibusan actually finished fourth overall, but Rick Kautz (net 79), Alex Tudela (net 80), and Patrick Cepeda (net 81) already won in previous months. SGA rules preclude current monthly winners to win again for the season.

Manibusan finished with a net 82 in the October tourney built around a 43 in the front nine and a 48 in the back nine for a gross of 91 for the 9-handicapper.

He now joins the 2024 Ace of the Month winners Larry Deleon Guerrero (January), Alex Tudela (February), Nick Sablan (March), Das Krishnan (April), Joe I. Sablan (May), Freddie Cataluna (June), Jung Eun Teack (July), Patrick Cepeda (August), and Rene Batallones (September).

In the closest to the pin tilt, Kautz won hole No. 3, while Manibusan and Cepeda lorded it over in holes No. 3 and 7, respectively. In the longest drive competition, Tudela brought the lumber in hole No. 2. Ditto for Kautz in hole No. 18.

The 2024 November Ace of the Month Tournament is scheduled this Sunday, Nov. 17, at LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort’s east course. Tee time is 9am with show time at 8:30am. (Saipan Tribune)
