Missing man is found
After a day-long search, the Department of Public Safety was able to locate Joe William “Joey” McDoulett, who was reported missing by his family over the weekend.
DPS patrol officers located McDoulett at approximately 12:21am yesterday walking along the shoulder of the road by Saipan Shipping in Lower Base.
Police said McDoulett was found in stable condition, with no visible injuries.
Per standard procedure, the Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived and transported McDoulett to the Commonwealth Health Center for medical evaluation.
DPS has not released any additional information about the matter.
McDoulett was reported missing by family members last Friday, Dec. 8. He was last seen leaving his home at about 12:45pm that day.
On Saturday, Dec. 9, McDoulett’s friends and family gathered in search of him with the party scoping sites up north like Grotto, Bird Island, etc.
McDoulett has been an attorney for over 20 years, providing professional legal services to the CNMI community.
He has made a career of government service as a U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps officer and a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
McDoulett was also the director of immigration services for Catholic Charities in Oklahoma City.
He and his wife own a dive shop on Saipan.
