Police presence increased at COVMS

The Department of Public Safety has increased its presence at the Chacha Oceanview Middle School in response to an unauthorized entry that resulted in a verbal altercation last Wednesday.

DPS divulged in a press statement yesterday few details about the unauthorized entry reported at the COVMS last Wednesday morning, besides saying it has increased its presence in the area.

In addition, DPS stated that the incident is under investigation and no arrest has been made yet.

According to an earlier DPS news release, it said the police department received a call at around 11:31am on Jan. 17, reporting a disturbance at COVMS in Kagman.

Upon arrival, campus staff informed responding officers that a male individual had attempted to confront a faculty member and had become angry upon being asked to leave by the school staff. The staff immediately requested police assistance.

However, when officers arrived, the male suspect had already fled the area.
