Rotary Club awards Paul Harris Fellow to Holl, 2 others
A plaque of appreciation was awarded to Irene Holl during the Rotary Club of Saipan’s meeting last Tuesday in the Terrace Room of Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan.
The plaque was given to Holl to show appreciation for her being the Rotary Club of Saipan president for the year 2023-2024. As a former president, she was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow pin. Other Rotarians who were awarded Paul Harris Fellow certificates and pins were Sean Ficke and Mike Sablan, who acquired his third Paul Harris pin.
The highest recognition the Rotary Club can bestow is the Paul Harris Fellow. It is presented to a Rotarian or a community member who has made an outstanding contribution to the community. The Paul Harris Fellow Program was established by Rotary International in 1957 to show appreciation and recognize individuals who contribute, or have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation.
During the meeting, members who are celebrating the month of August and Rotary membership anniversary were also honored. The following members whose membership anniversaries were recognized were Dennis Yashimoto for 39 years, Joe Torres for five years, Cathy Attao-Toves in her first year, and Charles Cepeda for his ninth year.
