SULC gives away free reading glasses on World Sight Day
Saipan Unity Lions Club distributed free reading glasses to 171 individuals during Sabalu Market at the Marianas Business Plaza, Susupe last Saturday, Oct. 26.
SULC District 204 Vision co-chair Lindie Mae Moleno and president Caroline Tamparong joined club members during the distribution event.
World Sight Day, established in 2000 through the Lions Club International Foundation’s SightFirst Campaign, is a significant global event focused on preventing blindness and supporting those with visual impairments. The foundation’s collaboration with the World Health Organization facilitates global outreach. Events like this serve as important reminders to prioritize eye care and appreciate the value of vision.
