TMS lead boys softball
Tanapag Middle School Tatagas boys varsity softball team lead the Inaugural SBL-PSS Interscholastic Boys Middle School Slow Pitch Softball League 2023-2024.
As of Dec. 11, the Tatagas were undefeated as they reeled in three wins, and handed HMS their first loss in a 0-5 game for a 2-1 record.
The Tatagas inched closer and closer to home plate in the first couple of innings but it amounted to nothing, but in the third inning, the floodgates opened.
Ayden Magofna, Justin Garde, Aiken Norita, Leon Neth, and Abraham Falig all zoomed past the bases into home plate as HMS’ pitcher Jesus Santos could not control their offense.
HMS tried to retaliate but their bats were just not there in this game and were retired consecutively and quickly. Nick Sablan made the only hit of the game for HMS, while the other batters were walked or reached on fielding errors.
In other games that day, Dan Dan Middle School defeated Francisco M. Sablan Middle School, 13-7, and Mount Carmel School beat HMS JV in a lopsided, 29-9 final.
Last Dec. 9, TMS edged HMS JV, 25-3; HMS won their second game, 12-4 against DMS; and MCS routed ChaCha Ocean View Middle School, 28-10.
