A man died while he was playing tennis at the American Memorial Park tennis courts in Garapan on Monday night.

Acting Department of Public Safety spokesman Eric David said the 48-year-old Pohnapeian was playing doubles at 6:04pm when he complained of chest pain.
David said the victim was chasing the ball when he suddenly collapsed.
The victim was transported to the nearby Commonwealth Health Center where a doctor pronounced him dead at 6:22pm on the same day, the DPS spokesman said.
The victim died possibly of heart attack, said David, adding that the player’s identity will not be released to the media until the next of kin have been notified.
