All three airports in the CNMI remain open but all seaports on Saipan, Tinian and Rota were closed yesterday due to threat of Typhoon Bualoi. The local and federal courts were also closed yesterday.

In a 2pm announcement, the Commonwealth Ports Authority said that the Saipan, Tinian and Rota airports remain open but not the seaports.

According to the CPA announcement, Jeju’s flight schedule remains unchanged for Oct. 21, 2019. Sichuan Airlines and Asiana Airlines will be delayed to Oct. 22, 2019. Star Marianas Air has canceled all remaining flights on Oct. 21, 2019.

Meanwhile, CNMI Supreme Court Chief Justice Alexandro C. Castro and Superior Court Presiding Judge Roberto C. Naraja announced the CNMI Judiciary’s closure.

Castro and Naraja did not indicate when the Judiciary will re-open.

U.S. District Court for the NMI Chief Judge Ramona V. Manglona ordered the closure of the federal court.

Manglona said the District Court will re-open today, Tuesday, at 1pm, unless otherwise ordered. Manglona said the electronic filing system will remain online, unaffected by this weather closure.

Meanwhile, the CPA board committee meeting set for today, Tuesday, is cancelled. CPA board chair Kimberlyn King-Hinds said yesterday that there is no new schedule yet for the meeting.
