Banquet to kick-off Miller Lite beach v-ball
The Pacific Island Club said it is ready to hold the 2008 Miller Lite 4-Person Beach Volleyball Fall League Beach Volleyball League.
PIC sports manager Lindsey Sosovec announced this week that a banquet would be held on Sept. 18 starting at 7pm at the PIC volleyball court where teams would be selected for the tournament.
Games will be held twice a week starting on Sept. 23. The tournament will run until November.
Entry fee will be $20 for members of NMI Volleyball Association while non-NMIVA will pay $25.
The cost would include the league, buffet and drinks at the banquet plus a T-shirt.

Last year, Raw Juice scored an anticlimactic 15-6 win over Bakkery to end the top seed’s 13-game winning run and in the process win the championship of the 2007 Miller Lite 4-Person Beach Volleyball Fall League at the Pacific Islands Club sand courts.
