BREAKING NEWS: Electrical problem on distribution grid caused island-wide outage
The island-wide power outage on Saipan that began at 3:38am was a result of an electrical problem on the power distribution grid. Commonwealth Utilities Corp. power crews at the power plant and on the field are preparing to start the restoration of power services. Water services will follow soon thereafter.
