Nate Camacho tossed a complete game two-hitter to lift the Red Sox to a 5-2 win over the Enforcers in the Senior League division of the Saipan Little League on Saturday at the Francisco M. Tan Ko” Palacios Baseball Field.
The Enforcers’ two runs were both earned with Ethan Babauta and J.J. Chong reaching home plate on a Kier Agda two-RBI single with one out—Franklin Lizama grounding out to second—at the bottom of the seventh.
Babauta singled and Camacho walked Chong to put runners at first and second. Greg Sablan was hit by pitch to load the bases. Camacho fanned Ton Muna then gave up that two-RBI single to Agda.
The Red Sox preserved the win after Sablan was tagged out going to third in the same play.
Camacho also had 11 strikeouts and three walks. He went 3-for-3, all singles, with one run. Austin Roberto and Roke Tenorio both batted 2-for-4 with the former having a double and one run, while the latter also doubled in the top of the fourth.
In the other Senior League game, the Braves won by forfeit against the Fielders.
Fielders 8, Falcons 0
Tyrese Camacho pitched five shutout innings while Greg Sablan went 2-for-2 with a double and one run, and the Fielders used a four-run first inning in beating the Falcons.
Camacho struck out eight and walked five while surrendering three hits—singles to Spencer Dickinson in the second, Noel Cabrera in the third, and Ace Evangelista in the fifth.
Don Ada tossed two innings in relief to complete the shutout, giving up a double to Arby Yaguel , while forcing the next five batters he faced to fly outs and grounders. He forced Cabrera to a game-ending infield fly.
Comets 15, Little Padres 3
Reid Teregeyo belted a three-run homer in the third to keep the Comets’ hopes of clinching the pennant alive. The Comets and the Braves are tied with similar 10-1 records.
Teregeyo also had a double in a 3-for-3 batting with four RBIs, while J.P. Castro also went 3-for-3 with three runs, a double, and two RBIs.
Castro tossed three one-hit innings, allowing the Padres to three unearned runs with six strikeouts and four walks. Teregeyo closed out the fourth and retired three while giving up one hit.
Red Sox 32, Jets 1
The Red Sox capitalized on the Jets’ 21 errors in completing the one-sided win.
Devon Pangelinan homered, a solo shot in the fourth, with three doubles while scoring four runs and driving in three.
Joven Reyes went 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI, while Anton Aguon had two doubles, three runs, and three RBIs in a 3-for-4 plate appearance.
