The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. would like to inform the general public that there was an emergency power service interruption for Feeders 1, 2 and Kiya 3, that happened yesterday, Aug. 25, at 3:09pm and we’ve turned the power back online on the following times below:
■ Feeder 1, at 3:13pm- Northern Part of Sadog Tasi to CHCC
■ Feeder 2, at 3:28pm- Garapan Beach Road, Chalan Laulau and Northern Part of San Jose
■ Kiya 3, at 3:28pm- Quarter Master, Gualo Rai, Parts of China Town, Chalan Kiya and Middle Road Chalan Laulau.
The cause of the emergency power service interruption was due to a failed connector on the distribution system in Garapan causing an electrical arch tripping multiple feeders resulting in a scheduled emergency power service interruption.
