GCA start of classes, open house set
Grace Christian Academy’s school opening has been moved to Sept. 14, with classes starting at 8am and ending at 3pm. There will be an Open House on Sept. 11, starting at 6pm at the school auditorium. (GCA)

High surf advisory cancelled
Based on the information received from the National Weather Service, the latest wave guidance suggests that surf is likely to remain below hazardous levels for the next couple of days. The high surf advisory is now cancelled…

Buoy reports and surf observations indicate that west swell has diminished and surf along west facing reefs has subsided below hazardous levels to between 5 and 7 feet.
The general public is advised to continue to exercise caution along reefs and beaches as strong rip currents may still occur. (HSEM)
