4.3-magnitude quake north of Saipan
At 11:23pm on April 29, 2022 a 4.3-magnitude earthquake occurred 288 kilometers north of Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands. Currently, there are no tsunami warnings or advisories issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center. For more information, contact the CNMI EOC State Warning Point at 670-237-8000. (PR)

JKPL parking lot undergoing repairs
The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library parking lot is undergoing repairs starting last Tuesday, April 26, 2022. As part of the Adopt-a-Median Project organized by the Governor’s Council of Economic Advisors, in partnership with the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library, sections of the JKPL’s parking lot will be closed while repairs are taking place. Repairs are expected to continue for the next two weeks. Funding was made possible by the Office of Grants Management. (PR)
