Da’ok Academy’s graduation last Wednesday saw 28 seniors conferred their high school diplomas, with family, friends, and dignitaries in attendance at the Koblerville Elementary School cafeteria.
The student who demonstrated leadership traits and received the Governor’s Leadership Award was Lance Ray Repeki, who also received the Trail Blazer Award, the Helping Hand Award, the Shark Leader Award, and A Honor Roll in Language Arts.
The recipient of the Lieutenant Governor’s Leadership Award was Cleman Mikko Techur.
The Outstanding Female Graduate Recognition Award was presented by the Women’s Affair’s Office to Norintha John.
The “Against All Odds Recognition,” which was Delegate Gregorio Kilili C. Sablan’s special award, was presented to Taldon Langu.
The Mayor’s Award and Service Learning Award was presented to Herman Sablan.
The recipient of the Principal’s Award was Jesse James Pua who demonstrated leadership and was an active peer model.
The Resilience Award was presented to Isa Marie Cabrera.
The recipient of the Shark Award was Jesse James Castro, who demonstrated leadership and was an active peer core model.
Additionally, four of its graduates received the Public School System’s highest scores in Achieve 3000, which is an online coaching tool that aims to improve students’ reading skills. The recipients were John, who had the highest score in March and April; Langu, who had the highest score in April; Keith Joevin Aldan, who had the highest score in February; and Koyuki Ichikawa, who had the highest score in May.
