Fitness for beginners and the scoop on fat

Share

Q: For those of us just starting to workout, what should we focus on first?

A: It’s a widespread belief that you need to be really restrictive and rigid to plow ahead. While there is some truth to that, it’s just not practical for many of us. A valid argument could be made if you’ve been going at it consistently for years. Then, effectively, that would warrant more training and dietary manipulations. However, for virtually every beginner now is not the time for anything elaborate and extreme on all fronts.

In truth, modifying your behaviors does wonders in facilitating results. For instance, if you find it challenging getting your steps in, make it a habit to go for a short walk every hour within close proximity, or after lunch and dinner. Having trouble drinking enough water? Set a timely alarm to remind you. Hiring a qualified personal trainer can also help streamline your progress.

Q: Should I take fat burners? Are they worth it?

A: As an independent variable, supplementation won’t directly affect your weight loss. Almost every pill or concoction on the market is unreliable at showing anything significant. Can it be useful in certain circumstances or in a particular context? Perhaps.

Still, many of you should know by now there is no replacing diet and exercise. They’re non-negotiable for getting leaner and in shape.

Now, they can assist you in reducing hunger. It’s pretty well-known that the hardest part about losing weight and keeping it off is managing your appetite. So, if that’s your reason behind the use of fat burners go on right ahead.
