FOR TEACHERS, PARENTS, STUDENTS
Free videos, interactives, lesson plans, and more
MANGILAO, Guam—Educators, parents and students are being encouraged to consider using PBS LearningMedia as you are developing your plans for learning at home.
PBS LearningMedia is a free resource for PreK-12 educators that supports distance learning. It can be accessed by teachers, parents and students by creating a free account at https://www.pbslearningmedia.org/.
Collections contain lesson plans and supplemental materials for grades PreK – 12, all aligned to state and national standards, and easily searchable by grade level, subject matter, standards, and key content words.
Ina Carillo, PBS Guam general manager said, “Many lesson plans and supplemental resources in this collection can be printed, and completed by watching program episodes on television, or videos online.”
The resources can also be easily integrated with digital classroom management systems. “This service has been launched and implemented nationally and we felt that now, more than ever, our community could use these resources in the home setting while observing home isolation during this COVID19 pandemic,” Carillo said.
As teachers, students, and families deal with school closures from the COVID19 pandemic, PBS LearningMedia producers and educators have come together to curate a special collection of resources organized by grade and subject area. Find videos, lesson plans, and activities that support learning at home. Create a free account to save and organize content. For educators, we’ve assembled packets of printable activities to download and share with parents and students. Educators and parents can plan and adapt lessons in creative ways, using the Lesson Builder tool, Google Classroom, Remind feature, and more. (PR)
