G4S joins long list of businesses that is suing IPI

A security company joins a long list of businesses that is suing the financially-troubled Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC for alleged non-payment of services.

G4S Secure Solutions (CNMI) Inc. through counsel Michael White, is suing IPI to collect $9,544, plus interest from March 31, 2020. G4S, which does business as G4S Cash Solutions, also asked the Superior Court to order IPI pay court costs and interest.

Saipan Tribune was waiting for comments from IPI as of press time yesterday.

According to White in the complaint filed Tuesday, IPI is in default on their agreement with G4S in that it has not paid for services. G4S agreed to provide cash and/or ATM services for IPI. That was later amended to include daily pick-up and delivery of money in sealed bags from the Best Sunshine casino to Bank of Saipan. G4S also provided pick-up and delivery of sealed bags from Bank of Saipan to the casino.

White said that, despite demand, IPI has failed, refused, and neglected to pay the sums or any part of it.

IPI is facing multiple lawsuits in federal court. Many companies and individuals also sued IPI before the Superior Court for non-payment of services and other reasons.

A contractor on Monday obtained a writ of execution from the federal court that directs the U.S. Marshal to seize IPI’s money in the amount at least $6.9 million from four banks on Saipan.
