DEDEDO, Guam—The Guam Regional Medical City recently launched its Red Coat Ambassadors Program.

As you enter the Guam Regional Medical City lobby, you will be greeted by friendly staff dressed in “red coats”—ready to provide you with assistance and guidance. They are GRMC’s Customer Relations and Patient Experience staff; and yes, they are wearing red coats! Why red? Red is described as warm, vibrant, and intense and it can grab attention. It is the color that is often associated with love and comfort. At GRMC, red takes on a new meaning – it signifies our organizational goal to exceed expectations in every aspect of our patient experience.

Our Customer Relations and Patient Experience staff, in red coats, are the first to greet and welcome all patients, families, visitors, and staff with a friendly smile and a warm “Hafa Adai!”

They offer information to our patients and our guests, give directions, and guide them on where they need to go, provide a compassionate and respectful listening ear, or simply being there where and when they are needed most.

With this program, patterned from our parent company, The Medical City, in the Philippines, GRMC aims to provide a positive first and lasting impression on our patient partners and visitors by providing them assistance with navigation and information and to build a meaningful human connection with everyone who comes through our doors.
