Guam PTAC sets free webinars on federal contracting

The Guam Procurement Technical Assistance Center is offering two free webinars a week this May. If our usual Thursday webinar doesn’t work for you, then join us on Tuesdays!
Webinars run from 10am to 11:30am and will be conducted via Zoom. Links to the live webinar and the webinar evaluation will be emailed to all registered attendees 15 minutes before the start of the webinar.

■ May 3, 2022 and May 5, 2022 – How to Register in SAM – Vendors need an active SAM registration to participate in Federal contracting. On 4/4/22, the SAM registration process changed. The Guam PTAC will take you through the new registration process as well as the new annual renewal process.

■ May 10, 2022 and May 12, 2022 – Federal Contract Opportunities – is the portal for Federal Contract Opportunities. The Guam PTAC will show you how to use the website to ensure you do not miss any opportunities. Opportunity types, search filters, and search strategies will be discussed.

■ May 17, 2022 and May 19, 2022 – Responding to RFPs – The Guam PTAC will walk participants through the common sections and clauses of an RFP as well as provide tips on developing a proposal in response to an RFP.

 ■ May 24, 2022 and May 26, 2022 – PIEE/WAWF – Department of Defense vendors use the Wide-Area Workflow module in the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment system to create, submit, and track their invoices. We will show you how to set up an account and submit an invoice so you get paid on time.

■ May 31, 2022 and June 2, 2022 – Cybersecurity – Department of Defense vendors need to protect themselves from cyberattacks. We will discuss DOD’s current requirements as well as the upcoming Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC 2.0).
