Gubernatorial bets invited to a forum on ‘Marianas Agupa’

The Marianas Agupa radio talk show has invited all three gubernatorial candidates—incumbent Gov. Ralph DLG Torres of the NMI Republican Party, Rep. Christina “Tina” Sablan of the NMI Democratic Part, and Lt. Gov. Arnold I. Palacios of the unified independent team—to a virtual (side by side) “forum-like” appearance on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, at am. The link to the show will be emailed to each of the candidates before the date.

The purpose of the forum-like appearance on the show will be for the listening public to hear how the three candidates respond to each other and to the questions and issues facing the Commonwealth. The language will either be in Chamorro or English and the order to respond to a question shall be by their number on the ballot. No. 1; No. 2 and No. 3.

Each of the candidates shall be given up to 5 minutes for an opening statement, followed by their responses to the ensuing questions.

All three candidates will be asked the following questions:

1. What are your top three priorities for the first 100 days if elected governor and how you will measure your success in each of your priority? (5 minutes each)

2. Why do you deserve to be elected governor the CNMI and what makes you a better candidate than the other two candidates running for governor? (5 minutes each)

There will be no rebuttal on this question-and-answer segment.

All three candidates shall then be given up to 5 minutes for a closing statement. There will also be no rebuttal on this segment.

Questions from the listening audience will be taken for each of the candidates for governor. (One question each from the public). All the questions will be asked and moderated by talk show host Glenn H. Manglona.
