IT&E joins fight against pandemic by getting vaccinated, encourages others

Posted on Jan 14 2021

Many of our IT&E employees received the COVID-19 vaccine and the service provider encourages the community to follow its example.

Voluntary vaccination has begun for IT&E’s employees by the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. to prevent the spread of the virus. As providers of an essential service, IT&E cares about the health and well-being of the community. It recognizes the importance of doing its part to help bring an end to the global pandemic. IT&E hopes that the example will give courage to those who are hesitant to take the vaccine.

“We are glad that the COVID-19 vaccine is available here in the CNMI and are proud of our employees that have gotten the vaccine to protect the community and themselves. We applaud the work of the Commonwealth Health Corp. to distribute the vaccine. We believe that ending the pandemic is a community effort and we all must do our part. We encourage everyone to get vaccinated,” said IT&E general manager Rose Soledad.

Since the onset of the pandemic, IT&E has remained committed to protecting the health and safety of the community. IT&E has implemented in-store measures aimed at flattening the curve, including sanitizing customer areas frequently, installing plexi-glass shields, implementing mask requirements, limiting the number of visitors in IT&E stores for social distancing, and encouraging subscribers to utilize online and over-the-phone services.

In addition, IT&E has sought to encourage safe social distancing and keep subscribers connected to school, work and the latest news and information, including hosting a Stay Home Challenge in April 2020 and removing data caps and late fees for subscribers from March to May 2020.
