This summer, the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library offers a summer reading program for people of all ages to encourage them to read, engage in science and technology activities, explore new authors and genres, and discover the different types of materials the library offers. The summer reading program, called Package-to-Go!, is also a great way to encourage kids to keep reading when they aren’t going to school.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, JKPL will offer an innovative adventure as we “Imagine Your Story” in our Package-to-Go! Each Package-to-Go includes books, more books, activities and supplies.
The library’s summer reading theme is “Imagine Your Story.” Registration is open from June 9, 2020 to Friday, June 19, 2020. Contact the library at 235-7322 or 7323(READ) to register your whole family. The program is free and open for all ages 0-adult! The Package-to-Go! is open to the first 500 registered participants, prioritizing underserved and underprivileged children. Package-to-Go! distribution will begin Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
