Joeten 1, TDI start finals series Saturday

The finals series in the 2018 JP World Corp. Customer Appreciation Basketball League will begin tomorrow with Joeten 1 and Top Development Inc. gunning for the important win in Game 1.

Joeten 1 and TDI know how crucial the opener is, as the championship is only a best-of-three affair. Joeten 1 advanced to the title series after sweeping Triple J in their best-of-three semis duel, while TDI prevailed over RNV Best Deal in the other Final Four pairing.

Before making it to the finals, Joeten 1 and TDI topped their respective pools in the elimination round so the title showdown is expected to be a close one.

Joeten 1 will be pinning its hopes on Chris Lilles, Alex Lauron, Ernest Duenas, Vince Teregeyo, and K.J. Kabiriel. Completing the Joeten 1 roster are Ferdie Tobias, Patrick Rotap, Juanito Sambile, and Sydney Quan.

TDI, on the other hand, will lean on the backcourt duo of Sean Rabasto and Raymond Velasco. The squad will also count on big man Darwin Barbo, Jerome Reyes, and Nestor Arreza.

The TDI-Joeten 1 finals opener will start at 7pm after the 6pm game between Triple J and RNV Best Deal, which will battle for the third place honors.

Game 2 will also be played this weekend, as Joeten 1 and TDI collide anew this Sunday. Game 3, if necessary, will be scheduled next weekend.
