Japanese actor Yosuke Kubozuka was on Saipan last week with Adventure King magazine on birthday holiday and to shoot for a 16-page article to be published on May 24, 2016.
Kubozuka stayed at Hyatt Regency Saipan, where he also celebrated his birthday with his family a day early on May 7, 2016.
The theme for shooting was “Father-Son Travel,” and Kubozuka enjoyed a number of beach activities while on-island, including parasailing off of the award-winning Managaha island and snorkeling inside the Grotto, one rated as the No. 2 cavern dive in the world by Skin Diver Magazine with his son. The group took an off-road ATV tour, as well. Other activities included.an island tour of Saipan’s historic and scenic sites, including Bird Islands Lookout, Suicide Cliff, Banzai Cliff, and the Japanese Last Command Post during World War II.
“Mr. Kubozuka joins a growing number of international celebrities who are finding Saipan, Tinian, and Rota an alluring place to vacation, work, and even get married,” said Marianas Visitors Authority Marketing manager Bruce Bateman. “The Northern Marianas have a lot to offer the world, especially in terms of relaxation in a beautiful, clean environment. The MVA was pleased to help coordinate Mr. Kubozuka’s visit through our Japan office and to facilitate the location shooting while he was here. We hope he and his family leave with many good memories.”
Kubozuka also visited T-Galleria and Best Sunshine Live and enjoyed a barbeque lunch at Paupau Beach, home of the annual Plumeria Swim in Saipan that attracts swimmers and snorkelers from Japan each year. Other shooting locations included Oleai Beach Bar & Grill, Moby Dick’s, and Herman Modern Bakery.
