Lawmakers donate supplies to Oleai and Garapan ES

Reps. Francisco Dela Cruz (R-Saipan) and Jose Itibus (R-Saipan) donated mowing and school supplies to the Garapan and Olei elementary schools yesterday.

The Precinct 3 representatives visited both schools to donate brand new lawn tractors and cases of crayons, markers, and notebooks.

Dela Cruz, who pushed for the new lawn tractors mowers for GES and OES, said that has so far donated five lawn tractors to schools under his jurisdiction throughout his five terms.

Dela Cruz said these tractors benefit the students and the school staff while maintaining the aesthetic appearance of these facilities.

Being a parent, the wellbeing and safety of children are a major part of his priorities, he said.

Itibus, for his part, donated cases of crayons, markers, and notebooks, enough for every classroom, according to GES principal Leila Yumul.

According to her, the donation to GES is a greatly appreciated because there is always a need for school supplies. With the donation, GES students will be more engaged in the classroom, she said.

OES principal Jasylene Parico shared the same enthusiasm and appreciation for the donations.

According to Parico, they are fortunate because legislative representatives continue to show their support to these schools.
