Lion’s Club to host diabetes awareness

The Saipan Fil-American Lion’s Club will be celebrating Diabetes Awareness Day on Sunday, April 22, from 7am to 11am at the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan’s Azucena Hall and is inviting the community to participate.

There will be guest speakers from the Non-Communicable Disease Bureau to discuss hypertension and all things related to diabetes prevention. Hardt Eye Clinic’s certified diabetes educators will also be present. There will be a blood pressure and sugar check before the presentation starts and the club will also provide free refreshments.

Due to limited seating, interested participants must call to register. For inquiries and details, contact Saipan Fil-American Lion’s Club president Annamae Adaza at 285-4388, secretary Mario Mayuga at 285-1021, auditor Eden Mercado at 989-2416, or project chair Ernie Molina at 789-8212.
