Man gets 15 mos. prison sentence for selling drugs
A man who pleaded guilty of selling methamphetamine or “ice” was slapped with a 15-month prison sentence in federal court on Wednesday.
Yang Kang Chen was given credit for time served.
Chen has been in detention for five months and four days.
U.S. District Court for the NMI Chief Judge Ramona V. Manglona approved Chen’s request to serve the rest of his prison term at the CNMI Department of Corrections.
After his release from prison, Chen, a Chinese national, will be deported.
