Marianas High School students Bernice Shane Sabino, Ryan Kang, and James Park received top honors at the recent International Thespian Festival, which was held virtually (online) due to the COVID-19 restrictions.

Sabino received a “Superior” rating in Solo Musical, and the top film recognition went to MHS animation filmmakers Kang and Park. This recognition marks the No. 1 film presenter in the festival and acknowledgment at the “The International Excellence Awards Showcase” at the close of the festival.

This is the second year members of the MHS filmmaking team has been recognized as the No. 1 in film. These fantastic filmmakers are coached by Jonel Alepuyo, who consistently brings out the best in our MHS Thespian Tech students.

This year, due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the International Thespian Festival has had to shift to a virtual (online) platform.
