More info on resumption of SSA in-person services
All local Social Security Administration offices will restore in-person services, including for people without an appointment, on April 7, 2022, but there are still rules that must be complied with.
The public is advised to review the SSA’s Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) | SSA page and safety protocols before visiting the SSA office.
“As we expand in-person service, we expect our offices to be very busy. We strongly encourage you to continue to go online, call us for help, and schedule appointments in advance,” stated a previous SSA news release.
Everyone must complete a self-assessment checklist before allowed entry. Everyone permitted to enter an office must wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. Learn what else to know before you go to an office. (PR)
